2016 Winners Announced at the 50 Year Celebration of the REVERE Awards Gala

Washington, DC; June 21, 2016 – Exemplary educational resources were honored on June 8 during the 2016 REVERE (Recognizing Valuable Educational Resources) Awards Gala hosted by the Association of American Publishers (AAP) PreK-12 Learning Group. Concluding the 2016 Content in Context (CIC) conference in Philadelphia, the gala celebrated 50 years of recognizing and awarding leading learning resources that influence success and provide quality education materials for students and teachers. Awards were given to more than 60 winners, including five Golden Lamp awards to the best overall product in each resource category.

Unique and prestigious in the education industry, the REVERE Awards is the only program of its kind to recognize learning resources in all variety of media, age groups and educational subject areas and learning environments. The judging process for the REVERE Awards is thorough and rigorous, even more so this year with robust rubrics and an expanded base of judges, ensuring that winners are top level in their field.

A diverse array of winners were honored at the 2016 ceremony as awards were given to products from publishers, edtech companies, associations, non-profits, colleges and many other organizations. “The REVERE Awards program recognizes that learning has evolved beyond the traditional textbook and encompasses a wide range of formats focusing on exceptional content without restrictions on delivery. There are so many different kinds of learning materials available, and this year’s winners are highly regarded trailblazing products.” said Jay Diskey, Executive Director of the AAP PreK-12 Learning Group.

Next year, the REVERE Awards Gala will combine with the Lamplighter Honors Gala as part of CIC creating an evening highlighting learning products and industry leaders.Find out more about the REVERE Awards on Twitter using @REVEREAwards and #REVEREAwards.
